Evolution in Pokemon Reloaded follows the classic methods with a few fan-game twists. Here is every trigger.

Level evolution

The most common: reach the level and it happens automatically. You can delay with the cancel button if you want an earlier move; the prompt returns every level until you allow it.

Stone evolution

Fire, Water, Thunder, Leaf, Moon, Sun, and specialty stones each evolve specific lines instantly. Stones come from marts, hidden items, and post-game spots. There is no level requirement, so evolve whenever the move pool says so. The Eevee guide is the biggest stone-evolution project in the game.

Friendship, trade, and location

Friendship evolutions need high bond plus day or night timing. Trade evolutions use items or NPC trades depending on the build. Location evolutions trigger near special rocks; if yours is not evolving, you are at the wrong rock or the wrong time of day. The Pokedex guide explains batching evolutions efficiently.

Quick answers

My Pokemon stopped evolving. What happened?

You may have pressed cancel, it may need a stone, or it may be a friendship or location evolution. Check the method for that species.

Should I delay evolution for moves?

Sometimes. Unevolved forms often learn moves earlier. Check the move list, then evolve when the key moves are learned.

Do evolved forms keep their shininess?

Yes. Shiny status carries through evolution.
